I am a 64 retired investment fund manager seeking to personally invest from $50,000-$250,000 in small businesses. I have significant contacts across many fields and relationships with other investors. I also have a law degree. Depending on the situation and needs, I can take an active role in the day to day operations, or act as more of an advisor. My goal is to work with a small business and to provide support and guidance on how to grow to the next level. I was the co founder of a debt fund which funded private equity buyouts of small to medium size businesses. We started with 4 employees and grew to almost 100 employees at our peak. I structured and approved all investments. The fund went public and I retired several years later. I have invested in multifamily real estate, as well as technology, internet, software, retail, and finance businesses. My roles have varied -- from being involved in the daily operations to a silent investor. I have sat on the board on occasion.
