We have been entrepreneurs and traditional investors ourselves, too. Today we're private investors, using non-bank capital, and focused on entrepreneur-friendly growth financing. We founded our business to address a real and troublesome "gap" in the market for financing growing companies. Today's companies get to market faster and cheaper than ever before -- but banks and VC firms are using decades-old practices that were built for a different age.
