I'm relatively new to angel investing, but I've made 5 investments
over the past 24 months. Those investments have ranged from $25k-
$250k, and have included internet businesses, software, organic
foods, and telco/mobile software.
For my day job, I am a Vice President of Business Development for
Software at IBM. I lead the M&A for our data/information related
products and led the acquisition of Netezza, Initiate, and Guardium in
the last 2 year. Prior to that, I ran IBM's semiconductor business in
Asia (living in Japan). Prior to that, I was a Partner in IBM Global
Business Services.
My role at IBM is unrelated to my angel investing (ie I will not angel
invest in deals that are in the enterprise software space). That being
said, I have a decent bit of large scale investing experience based on
my role at IBM. I am a private investor.

Have been in the private equity and venture capital investing business
for the last 12 years. Having invested in over 50+ other private
equity funds and made direct investments in over 150+ businesses, I
have seen a wide variety of industry segments, investment niches, and
am very open to various vertical market focuses. If a transaction is
too large, I many times can arrange a syndication to accomplish the
needed financing as well. My primary objective or focus is North America.

I have a sales background of over 5 years with computer hardware
and software. I am a geek at heart so I am up to date on everything
relating to gadgets and technology. I'm very big on social media and
what the next big thing is going to be. I'm also a wanna be scientist
and I love reading up on new information pertaining to the universe
and everything it contains. I've acquired a sum of money from the
unfortunate passing of my father and I would like to invest it, well, so
I can have more. For the last month I've been doing research on how
to invest in different kinds of markets. I would very much like to be an
Angel Investor for an up and coming start-up or idea and I feel that I
can provide some helpful advice.
